Aging Neck? LED Light Therapy Could Be The Answer

The neck is often overlooked when it comes to skincare, but its appearance can have a big impact on our overall look. So, if we want to look after our skin we mustn’t forget to take our skin treatments below the jawline – or as many skincare experts suggest, all the way down to the décolletage.

What are the best treatments for an aging neck? Put simply, that would be the same skincare therapies and products you would use on your face. But keep in mind that your skin concerns on your neck and chest may be different to those on your face, as with combination skin.

Age spots on the neck (or hyper-pigmentation) is a common concern, much like the face. It can be caused by various factors but the number one cause of pigmentation is sun damage. For this reason, regular SPF applied to the face (and neck) is important.

Vitamin C and bakuchiol are also key natural players to help ward off a prematurely aging neck. LED (light emitting diode) therapy is also a powerful tool. The different wavelengths of light penetrate the skin at different depths, which can trigger biological processes that help the skin rejuvenate.

“The neck mask was very quick and easy to set up. After the initial charging time I strapped the mask around my neck – it is sturdy but surprisingly comfortable. I was slightly concerned that it would feel too tight or constricting, but it is soft and easy to wear while reading, watching TV, or whilst meditating, as I’ve been doing it.
